  1. Music is a part of Jamaica. Jamaica is a beautiful and wonderful place to visit and live. In this essay I will be talking about parts of Jamaica.

    In Jamaica, it’s quite warm over there. Weather in Jamaica are beautiful and sometimes very bad. Mostly in October and May it would bring heavy rains. Jamaica’s climate sometimes extinct creatures. In winter it’s 75 degrees, in summer it’s 80 degrees. Jamaica is important because of Bob Marley.

    Many families are poor. But some are rich and wealthy that they sometime hire other Jamaican people to work for them. In Jamaica family is very important. Rich Jamaicans usually employ only one domestic helper. In the 18th centuries, the slave trade was greatly expanded. In 1830, slavery was abolished. In 1840 indentured laborers were brought in from India to replace the newly freed slaves. Jamaica is important because of its songs.

    In Jamaica, tourists said that Jamaica has some of the most beautiful places they’ve seen. Jamaica is a very beautiful place and it is also tropical and many tourists love it. European settlers settled in Jamaica and took over the place. Jamaica has many ghetto places because they’re poor. Jamaica is important because people grew up there.

    Cultures in Jamaica are very traditional and seems fun as most of the time they would dance and have fun. Jamaica’s culture are fascinating and interesting. Jamaica has dance halls that features rapping. On Sunday evenings, the poor family enjoys lunch with sociable people. In the 1950’s, Rastaforism became an important religious and culture.

    Jamaica is a nice place to go to. And someday, I’ll visit there.

    Jamaica is a wonderful place to visit. In this essay, I am going to tell you about Jamaica. I want to tell you about music, weather, family, and people/population.

    Music is a very important thing for Jamaicans. In Jamaica, it’s really well-known for music. Rastafarianism, is a religious and cultural belief that associates with music internationally. Trench town, (in Kingston) are also known for reggae music. Dancehall music features a rapping, or deejay. Music is very important to Jamaica.

    The weather there is really strange there sometimes. Thunderstorms happens in summer. Also, it can bring heavy showers. The rains are seasonal, happens in October and May. The coastal breezes blow onshore by day and offshore at night. During the winter months, which is December. March is colder, known as northers. The average temperature is around 80 degrees at sea level.

    The families ar really traditional. Family life is central to most Jamaicans. Sundays are traditional for poor families that enjoys a large and sociable brunch or lunch. Wealthier families usually employ at least one domestic helper. For the families, the main meal is evening. It’s common for three generations to share a home.

    Slave plantations have been there for 300 or more years. The slaves worked on plantations. The Spanish brought slavery to the island. The abolition of slavery began in the 1830’s and was completely abolished by 1839. In 1840, indentured laborers were brought in from India to replace the newly freed slaves.

    People and population were very poor. The population grew a lot through the centuries in the 1950’s and 60’s. About ¼ of the Jamaicans depended on agricultural for a living. Jamaica is the largest English-speaking island in the Caribbean. A British force invaded the Spanish country in 1655, and Jamaica remained a British colony until 1962.

    Jamaica is now a great place. Also it is very beautiful because of the beaches and the mountains. The Jamaican culture really great and also the place.

  3. Jamaica is the third largest Caribbean island, measuring 146 miles at it’s widest points. In this essay I will tell you some of my knowledge on beautiful Jamaica. Information on land, people, music, and environment.

    Music is at the heart and soul of the Jamaican people. It’s a big huge part of Jamaican life, so basically everywhere. Reggae is the most popular from of music to come from the island. The country is constantly moving to the sounds of reggae. Theirs dance hall music, which features a raping or toasting deejay.

    They have beautiful land, the reason why tourist love and admire Jamaica. Very dry and lot’s of brown and big areas with less buildings and more land. In trench town (Kingston), it’s filled with a lot of ghetto. Other then that much of the islands rooted in the sugar plantation economy. Sugar plantation been their for over 300 years.

    Jamaica is surrounded by beautiful waters so makes it a wonderful environment. The island of the Caribbean look like stepping stones stretching in an arc from Venezuela in south America to the trip of Florida in north America. Ghettoes such as trench town are notorious for their high levels of property and crime.

    People are just out going and fun. The most known and famous in Jamaica is Bob Marley, for his music. Like Marley dreads are for love and are everywhere. In other different living of Jamaicans, wealthier families usually employ at least one domestic helper. Jamaica is the largest English-speaking islands in the Caribbean.

    So Jamaica sounds fun, enthusiastic, and they also play sports. In 1998 soccer briefly eclipsed cricket in popularity when Jamaicans qualified in the world cup. Cricket the most popular sport, soccer is second. But to me soccer is my favorite so I might swing by and play with the Jamaicans. YOU SHOULD TO!

    Jamaica
    OMG! Jamaica is an awesome place for a vacation. It is also a beautiful place with lots of awesome tourist place to visit. I wouldn’t mind taking vacation there.
    Jamaica is a place about lots of stuff, like for example music, food, culture, people, and others. I’ve learned a lot about Jamaica like music and the singer Bob Marley. Bob Marley was a singer/musician. He was very interesting to learn about. Jamaicans are also very friendly people even if they don’t know you. Hard working people like the Jamaicans are very friendly and also committed in what their goals are, like the movie “Cool Runnings”.
    Out of all the entertainment and popularity, Jamaica is known for their Reggae music.
    One type of music they have is called Dancehall music. Dancehall music contains or features rapping or “toasting”. Their most popular music is Reggae and also their superstar is of course Bob Marley. Throughout the whole island of Jamaica, the island dances to the beat of Reggae. Music is the heart and soul of Jamaica.
    I wonder how big Jamaica is? Or how it looks like? Well in Jamaica data set 1 number 6 it says that Jamaica is the third largest Caribbean island and measuring at 146 at its largest and widest point. Also on data set 1 number 5, Jamaica and the other Caribbean islands look like stepping stones stretching in an arc from Venezuela in South America to the tip of Florida. Jamaica is one of the most beautiful of the Caribbean islands.
    Culture in Jamaica is really big. In Jamaica, they have a lot to deal with culture/. For example, in data set 1 number 9, “cricket is the most popular sport on the island.” Their language of Jamaica is English, but sometimes you may find it difficult to believe that they sometimes speak in old English, Spanish, Irish, African, and also American. You could find this information from data set 1 number 15/ there are many different things to their culture, but also some that you don’t even now or even heard about.
    Have you ever tried the food in Jamaica? It’s okay if you said no because I haven’t tried it either. But I wouldn’t mind. Foods in Jamaica are very different from our food in America of course. There are many different dishes like rice dishes and son on. Jamaican food looks very different, but interesting also.
    In conclusion Jamaica is very interesting. I wouldn’t mind going there for vacation.
