Gary Soto is a poet that writes about celebrations, like football games or weddings. Paul Neruda writes about feelings, like love or hate.

the things they have in common is they’re both writers or poets at least, and they both write odes.

To me Gary Soto is a good poet. When Gary was five-years old his father died. At that time he and his family had a hard time finding work.

Soto started teaching at the University of California, Berkeley. All I’m trying to say is Gary Soto is a good poet. I don’t know about Pablo Neruda, but all I know is Gary Soto, to me is a better poet than Pablo Neruda.
