San Francisco’s 1906 earthquake was caused by the rupture of the San Andreas fault. The greatest damage to the city was fire. Most people of San Francisco whose homes were destroyed lived in “tent cities.” It took 3 years to rebuild SF after the disaster.

It made the sky scrapers fall and it made huge fires caused by thy gasoline that fell to the ground when the earth was shaking. the fire made a lot of damage to the buildings and homes. it killed 3,000 people and left nearly 25,000 people homeless. it took three years to rebuild the city that came down that horrible day. all this is interesting because how one thing starts other one like it could of caused a tsunami and also a volcano eruption. well that’s how mother nature is.
