The author uses images to show the theme of seeing new thing. For example
On page 11 “he married at the towering mountains and rives as dear the sky.”This make me remember
I look the rock on the snow when I came to the United States. On the I visit the rock on Fresno and I saw many rock and mountains.

The author uses characterization to show the theme of seeing new thing for example on
Page 22 “my wife and I live in San Francisco.”This make me remember when I walk a lot in California .This connects I wonder what my childhood friend are doing.

In the book, grandfather’s journey Allen Say writes about grandfather travel to North America by train, boat, and walked to see new things and met new people when he was young. The author shows the theme of discovering new thing by using imagery characterization.

The author uses imagery to show the theme of seeing new thing, for example, on page 8, the simile “desert with rocks like enormous sculpture amazed me” this make me remember me when I was in Marshall and I saw many enormous coconuts. Another example is on page 10, the Adjective is “tall building” this makes me remember me when I went to L.A. and I saw the tall building.

This reminds me of my dad when he was a young boy he always travel with his mother to different places.
