Grandfather journey
In the book grandfather’s journey be ALLEN say his grandfather left Japan and travel to U.S.A by boat, train, and walking. Because he wanted to see new thing, before ww2, One them of the story is discovery new things the author use imagery and characterization to show the theme.
In the story ALLEN say uses imagery to show the theme of discovering new things. For example in the story it says “Deserts with rocks like enormous sculptures amazed him.”pg(8) this reminds me of huge cars in Bangkok in Thailand.
ALLEN say also uses characterization to present the theme of discovering new things. For example grandfather shakes many hands and walks a lot. This reminds me of my family came to U.S.A. we has to learn new things.
I think discovering new things is an important theme in grandfathers journey to show this theme , Allen say uses imagery and characterization this theme is important because visit new place make you smart and learn many culture and new year.
