Think about James Armistead Lafayette and the choice he had to make about helping the Patriots or being loyal to the King. As a slave, you could gain freedom for helping the king, but there was no promise made to slaves that they would get freedom if they helped the revolution. Helping the revolution, it took years before James Armistead was “manumitted” (set free). If you were in James Armistead place, what choice do you think you would make? Well I would be very scared cause would not want to get caught but I would like to help so much mamby if i had people to help me out
I will help the patriots, even though I would not get my freedom.Even if the king would give me my freedom I will feel better by helping someone , then thinking about myself.
If I was James I would have helped the patriots instead of the king. It will feel great to help someone instead of giving myself freedom.They might pay me back by knowing that I’m someone who they could trust and they know that I’m on their side that I won’t betray them.

What I learned throughout this unit was about the Boston Tea Party,King George,and about how they through the tea in the Boston Tea harbor.I also learned about the Sons of Liberty and what they did.The last thing that I learned about was Paul Revere.
