Revolutionary Timeline Project II

This week, you need to begin planning and working on the script of your presentation. This is what it looks like:

script1.jpg

You can click on the picture above to open up the script. You will need to fill in your group information, the title and the script this week. Please turn it into me when you are done. It is due by the end of the day on Friday.

On the script, first describe the event in one to three sentences (answering what, when, and where questions). After that, you must answer how and why questions about the event. You don’t need to include the question, but it should clear what you answering from your writing. Here are some examples (do not copy them):

Why or how was this important?
This was important because it was a major military victory for the Colonies.

Why did they do that?
They did it because they were low on supplies and needed to work together.

Why or how did this make a difference?
This made a difference because the British would not be able to supply their army.

Why did I pick this event?
We picked this event because it sounded like an interesting battle because they were so outnumbered.

How did they do that?
They were able to win by being sneaky.
How would you have behaved?
I would never have gone off to in the army, I don’t like living in a tent and hate loud noise.

Revolutionary Timeline Project

Rules:

  1. Groups will have 2-4 members
  2. List four events from the Revolution with a date;
  3. Explain each event by summarizing (not copying from someone else’s writing) in one to three sentences what happened;
  4. Answer a why or a how question (why is this important, why did they do that, why did this make a difference, why did I pick this event, how did they do that, how is this important, how did this make a difference, how would you have behaved) about each event.

I will need a post from each group listing your members, and the four events you plan to include by the end of this week. Below are three timelines you can look at to get some ideas:

Revolutionary War for Kids-1763 French & Indian War Ends

The History Place – Prelude to Revolution

The History Place – American Revolution
