You’ve also read about how students in Norway coopered to help save a rain forest in Costa Rica. Elections have a lot of competition, but the election this year will soon be over, and those who are elected will have to cooperate to get things done, what should they be working on? What would you like the mayor of our city, or the president of our country to work on? Please write three sentences.

“Daisy”
Ice Cream Cone
We Will Bury You
Children/Achievements
The Real Threat

Please answer these questions:

Why do you think the adults who made these ads used children?
Would these ads be the same without children?
Are they make a factual appeal (an argument based on facts), or emotion?

Next, we’re going to learn about cooperation and competition. First, go to either of these sites Visuwords or Lexipedia, to find out synonyms (words with the same meaning) and antonyms (words with the opposite meaning) for risks and consequences:

Visuwords™ thesaurus: competition, AND

Once you look those up, share some of what you learn in a comment here. Let me know a synonym, and antonym. After you send a comment, you can go to the Links for the Week or Election News at the right ->.
