Heritage and Culture
We will be starting a new unit on heritage and culture.
Here is a definition of culture:
The customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group
We will be looking at the food, clothing, and music of some of the cultures at our school. The most important question we will answer is how these things reflect the values, or what is important in those cultures.
Do you have a cultural group that you identify with? What is it and why do you identify with that group?
