Recap of Beyond PowerPoint Training

March 26th, 2009 · No Comments · multimedia, trainings

I’m sorry!

Howdy! Thanks for coming to my training, and thank you for your patience with a truly trying technical situation. I will be discussing the difficulties we had with ISET (the “tech” folks), so if you were planning on attending my session on April 23rd (“What’s New”) things should be better. Please fill out the online evaluation form here, or by clicking the Evaluation tab above. If you would like to hear more about trainings in the future, please put your email address at the widget in the top left column. I’m thinking in the future, that I’m only going to cover PowerPoint by itself, and I’ll do a training on online alternatives as a standalone training.

Here are the links for the training:

Resources to make slideshows online as an alternative to PowerPoint, or if want to place a PowerPoint on a Web page

Follow-up to to Integrating Web 2.0 Applications in the Curriculum

October 14th, 2008 · No Comments · trainings, web2.0

I had a great time meeting and learning with my participants. Here are some further links that maybe of use:

First, for Kate, here is the linear graphing project that was done with fifth graders. It using stop-motion film techniques, which someone recently opined, may be the “new black” in student film work.

Next, for Patty, here is a video on RSS, which I hope will prove helpful:

This text will be replaced

var so = new SWFObject(“http://www.edublogs.tv/flvplayer.swf”,”mpl”,”450″,”355″,”8″);so.addParam(“allowscriptaccess”,”always”);so.addParam(“allowfullscreen”,”true”);so.addVariable(“height”,”355″);so.addVariable(“width”,”450″);so.addVariable(“file”,”http://www.edublogs.tv/uploads/ub8rzqf0snn2g5ay.flv”);so.addVariable(“searchbar”,”false”);so.write(“player”);

For Dan, I recall the words “pre-service teachers” coming from you, I’m going to share a contact, Bethany Smith, who works in North Carolina teaching tech integration to pre-service teachers.

For all of you, my gratitude for your time and energy, and a link to http://instructify.com, where I and other share Web 2.0 tools.

Remember, you can contact me using the link above, or leaving a comment, if you have more questions.
