BLESS ME ULTIMA
The war has brought madness and sorrow within,
Not one curandera can fix this deep sin.
The llano lay still and lay quiet again,
But deep inside you can feel the evil suspend.
Antonio’s birth brought hope and a dream,
His mother was happy, and so were her kin
Antonio was different, he was unique,
And he had a destiny that he didn’t pick.
As Antonio grew, he was seeing too much,
First Lupito’s death then Narcisco’s and such,
However, he was also growing to learn
To answer the things he yearned to discern.
Antonio grew and started thinking of God,
Or maybe instead of God, he thought of “gods”
He wasn’t sure how to act in this life,
And the questions ha had kept up the strife.
He thought of Ultima, her magic and might,
He thought of the carp but didn’t grasp what was right.
In the end he found out what was true,
Ultima blessed him and somehow, he knew…
My Rap, it’s not great but i tried 🙂
A Luna, A Vaquero?
I don’t know?
my destiny is undecided
only she knows
A woman of the llano
yelling out my name, Antonioo!
she showed me all the ways
during the cold nights and hot days
as i fall fast asleep, i can finally see
but my visions are blurred, what will i be?
the lunas the marez fighting for me
a vaquero? a cuandero? what will i be?
I got the lunas and the marez
fighting for my destiny
waiting for what i shall soon to be.
but only she will know..Ultima.
Theres a vaquero with no freedom
A child with a choice
The brujas who are doomed,a curandera with magic
An evil and the presence of a river the owl tambien
The Llano is vast and beautiful
The hills are home for a family
Theresa town and a river
El pueblo Guadalupe holds a great evil
There’s a danger around Antonio can run
But will he make it on time
The owl screeches and yells a warning
Escucharan o muriran?
We see a murder, a drowning, and the magic
Antonio lets us in and tell us a story
He lets us in….Will we open our eyes to the story?
In chapter Uno we go a boy and his dreams
The witch and her magic
A mom yearning for a priest
And a dad who can’t stop moving
This boy faces a whole new world with fear
But he got his friendly witch by his side
And at every turn he discovers a new him
With so much curiosity he almost killed himself
We got the Lunas and the Marez
Fighting for the fate of this boy
And we’re left with ambiguity every step of the way
All we ever get is an owl and dreams
A dream of his birth and a dream of his death
He lives in the llano and across the river
Well what can I say
I’m left with curiosity and ambiguity.
Starting from the top, he didn’t know much,
He keeps having dreams, he didn’t need to rush,
He dreamt about the people, the place of his birth,
The people of the llano, the secrets of the earth.
The plants, the herbs, the hills and the trees,
The Lunas, the vaqeros is all that he sees,
Now let us see, how this story goes,
The life of a young boy, named Antonio.
Sneaking into the dark, he ran after his father,
Thinking about the murder, Lupito was a goner,
Seeing someone die, in front of his eyes,
Scared and confused, he still wonders why?
The Lunas or the vaqeros, soon he’ll choose,
No matter where he goes, he’ll never lose,
Becoming a vaquero, very crazy and wild,
Or choosing a Luna, quiet as a sleeping child. :]
I like your last stanza the most and nice rhyme 🙂
ur rap is awesome!!!!!!!!=)
My rap:
This book begins one day
That is when Ultima comes to stay
Then to the sheriff’s dismay
Lupito kills him with nothing to say
Antonio has the big p.o.v.
He gets to use I and Me
That is because he is the first person
In this whole book he is on a mission
From the gurgling waters of the river
The hills you will remember forever
This llano is big
It ain’t no gig
Then there is the Horse
Who can take you down with no remorse:)
He has a horse’s face
Wrestling is his special case
Antonio a seven year old boy
Who lived with his parents in the
Llani, the town of Guadalupe
Antonio had a dream and in his
Dream he dream of him as a baby
His parents and people were giving
Him hope by rubbing the dark earth
Of the river on the baby’s forehead
And surrounded the bed with the
Fruits of their harvest so the small
Room smelled of fresh green chile
And corn, ripe apples and peaches,
Pumkins and green beans the vaqueros
Surrounded the small house
with Shouts and gunshots
The llaneros and vaqueros were arguing
About bury the blood that comes
After the birth.
I was sent from the gods, Hoot Hoot
I will glide through the sky’s, looking at you
Fighting evil, doing my do’s
Watching over you, that’s what I do
When you got attack by Evil, my Antonio
I flew to your rescue
I defend you like, you were my own
To understand no one can hurt you
I will protect the weak, fighting evil
Flying through the sky from above
Learning new ways to defeat the evil
Me and you should be as one, Antonio
I came from the gods with powers
My powers are for good not evil
Seeing the goods in evil
Learning from my old friend, Ultima
I like how you said Hoot Hoot nice 🙂
cool rap it was awesome=)
I tryed my best (:
Ultima, a curandera, a women who knew the herbs.
the remedies, a miracle-worker who healed the sick and delivered babies.
Living in the llano all alone, but not for too long.
Recieved in a home with open arms.
And when someone did harm or something wrong,
She would say:
“You must never judge who God Forgives and who he doesnt, so just Forget”.
A curandera must and cannot give away her secrets,
but if you really want to know
Then you’lll wait, listen, see and be patiient.
Antonio and I,
Yeah were at the Llano,
Come on guy yaw should know…
Were over by the bridge
searchin for that villain
Oh there he is! Look its Lupito!!
There’s my dad we gotta stay quiet bro…
Oh look, it looks like they’re talking!
No!? Look! it looks like they’re shooting
What? Why? What was he doing?!
I don’t know? But I think we gotta go
Alright then I agree with you bro!
PEACE!!!(:
Teno,
Are you the presence of the river?
Coey
Bless Me Ultima Rap
Yes Bless Me Ultima is as weird as it seems
From crime scenes, to second world dreams
Antonio’s three brothers are far away at war
And Ultima couldn’t be alone anymore.
Lupito’s dead, due to angry men
Si Si! The men shouted in unison
Why kill my brother? He did no harm!
It was suicide man, knew we were armed.
Rest in peace, Lupito my brother
Don’t worry, I’m here to take care of you mother
He was just an innocent and confused young man
But he’s at peace now, and will never be confused again.
Antonio loves Ultima, like no other
A woman like Ultima, there will never be another
She works hard every day, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind resting
But if you’re ever in need, go to her to get a blessing.
Awesome Jalen i think you beat Mr.Coey with that one! hahah
SPUPER HOT!!!!
Wow! That was NICE! ;D
Like Kelley , I did it more of like a poem. . .ish. 😀
She is an owl of wisdom
A care taker: A grandma
She was alone as the cloudy days were
But she soon found her home: Her family
She is the mother nature
Love cures all wounds especially the loneliest ones
People say that Ultima is the witch
When they should start looking at Tenorio and his daughters
Her heart is pure as the water
A great inspiration to all
An old lady full of joy and laughter
A Strong heart that will never fade
Her fight with evil lives among them
Her owl always watching and protecting the child
And forever her words stay with the child
Good will always win no matter how small the good is and the bad big
wow Alice!! ahah i like how you described Ultima a few typeos though:P
I agree with Teno, i like yur description of Ultima. ;]
Awh thank you too MAisy 🙂
-___- Dont I always
Grr. Thank you though.
One day I visit a kid named Antonio
This boy had dreams
I was in them
He came from two different teams
They call me La Grande
I have a mystic tone
Probably because my ways are unknown
I’m old
I delivered Antonio
I’m a curandera
I came to Guadalupe
I’m staying with this boy
Some of my actions seem like brujadera
I’m not dumb
I’m acknowledge as all knowing
Now don’t call me a witch because I’m awesome
Here is my rap but seems more like a poem because I don’t like to rap:
The good of nature
like of beauty of flowers
Bless me Ultima
with your magical powers
Thanks to you
I know who I really am
So for the good or the bad
I shall never be sad
I know it is my destiny
to fufill my parents dream
to be the the farmer and priest
like how they would want me to be
Together with the family
we all have faith and believe
that someday i will be
all what the llanos wanted to see
I like how you sound so calm in here Kelley 🙂
I like the begining for some reason . . .
But its a pretty good poem~
LOVE!
-ALICE MOUA !
xD I like your rhyming here!
I like every single line. 🙂
Awesome poem or rap I enjoyed it thx=)
You know Lupito, he’s from the llano, who killed Chavez’s brother or I mean his hermano, it took one shot and the sheriff was done, I guess he didn’t have any protection, I mean his blood, exploded and splattered, but if I was there I wouldn’t be full of laughter, because Lupito was,
Running away, with a face twisted with madness, but his heart decayed, and full of sadness, his eyes were the eyes of a trapped savage animal, running wildly to the bridge with his one-handed pistol,
Jumped into the dark, cold river, the men chasing after him heard him shivered, the hunter called him out, for peace, but he pulled his gun out, before you can say cheese,
The men were, scared and pissed, because he killed their brother, from another mother, Lupito, shot a bullet but not at them but they misunderstood and they shot him.
I really like your rap! xD Your word choice.
thx Maisy aka Little Fool
Antonio’s eyes, he sees, he states, he said
The beauty of the river, the Ilano and the hills at blaze
Upset mother, father chugging each drink
Oh no, the brothers are leaving in a blink
Tenorio, the sick antagonist of the story
“Ay, he is an evil man.” Opinion said, no glory
His wife even had her own type of witchcraft
His daughters cursing every man that cross their path
Lucas is sick, he’s dying, ill in bed
Being forced to see the dark man, they dread
Antonio, eyes open, “I jumped at the sight of his face.”
Eyes dark, thin beard, hunchback, ugly was his race
After confronting Tenorio of his crime
Ultima decides to make a cure, hard work and time.
Vomiting, sickness and 3 dolls of clay
Whispers of brujas and hechicera, fill the day!
I think that your rap was very good
I liked how you added in your rap about Lucas being sick and Ultima tried very hard to help him 😀
Listen people, You got to know that Ultima knows Antonio’s destiny
He’s strong-hearted, young and unique
The Marez blood is in him as well the Lunas
He can’t deny his real destiny and his path
Here, we start from the Ilano
We live in the hills
The river always flow down
Mist of the river reaches the hills of our home
Antonio doesn’t know what to become
It’s either a priest or a farmer
He doesn’t really know his time is running out
He can’t decide the path of his mother or father
The point of view is 1st person by Antonio
We going to know what happen to Ilano and his family
Like why his brothers are going away
It’s nothing to but a silent nights in the unknownly Ilano.
I like your rap! 😛
In the blazing hills of the llano, over the river
There is three evil brujas sisters
They dance around the bright fireball, down upon the dark night with the sparkly shiny moon
They all dress in black while dancing around the fireball
Then there came I, Lucas of the Luna’s blood line
I hide behind the branches watching those three brujas sisters
They dance around the fireball, chanting and performing their evil black magic
I break two branches and walk up to them
I bravely say to them “You brujas, hear me and prepare to meet a Christian soul!”
They all turn around, they stared at me with their murderous eyes
Then I realized that they are Tenorio’s three girls
They started to scream like furies at me, attacking me like wild animals
I tied the two branches together using one of my shoe laces
I made a cross with the two branches
I hold up the cross and say, “Jesus, Maria, Jose!”
They all fell to the ground, screaming in pain, they all acted as they were a wounded animal
They pull themselves up off the ground and fled into the darkness
They put a curse on me as they went
I fall down on the cold ground and fainted after the curse
I feel sick and ill after the curse of the three brujas sisters
I like your rap. =)
I see the llano’s beauty as Ultima takes my hand
It unfolded before my eyes on this land
The river singing to the hum
But wait, blood I see, what a bum
The sounds of her owl hooting
And the sounds of vaqueros shooting
I had never seen such an action
Roar of madness was their reaction
Shoot,shoot someone had said
But no, no I thought in my head
Lupito’s sad, mournful cry
Oh no, he has died
I turned away from where he laid
I ran home and every moment I prayed
Ultima and her remedy back home
Changed the moment’s tone
Good job on your rap!!!!=)
Thanks Jessie.
I like your last stanza. =)
Thanks Chingmeng! Though it was hard to write the last stanza.
I liked how you have pairs rhyming and how everything flows 🙂
Thanks Beatris.
I LOVED it <3
🙂
A beatiful rap Leslie! I loved it =)
•When she came the beauty of the llano unfolded before my eyes
The gurgling water of the river sang to the hum of the tuning Earth
The pulse of the living Earth pressed its mystery into my living blood
The silent magic she passed made beauty from raw
•Ultima was a curandera
A woman who knew herbs
A miracle-worker who could heal the sick
She could lift the curses left by brujas
•Her clear ,sparkling brown eyes like that of a child
Her face was old and wrinkled
Sight as that of an owl
And the sweet fragrance of herbs
•She was present at my birth
Ultima knew my destiny
Her teachings I follow
I receive her blessings
Welcome to The Llano by In Your Fate
Welcome to the llano and the beauty of the earth
Hear the hum of the waters and Antonio’s birth
A Luna, A Marez, A priest or curandero
Antonio’s identity may not be a vaquero
Who knows? Only Ultima’s owl
Letting out a scream alerting those around
Of danger, the rising action in the plot
As the image of the Devil and witches is hot
The presence, of the river can be found
Watching over Tony never making a sound
Throbbing, lifeless, yet so immense
The presence of the River made Antonio tense
From the first person, Antonio’s view
We see Lupito’s death and hear the men start a feud.
Shots fired and the river turns red
And as the blood flowed, “Bless Me” he said
